District Attorney Staff Collects More Than $250,000 in Money and Property for Victims

20 May District Attorney Staff Collects More Than $250,000 in Money and Property for Victims

The case dates back to 2008 and had essentially gone cold until staff members began working it again and successfully collected the amount Fritze Roberson embezzled from Danny Neldon/Thunder Bowl Lanes nearly six years ago. (Rogers County CF-2008-234)

Roberson worked as a manager at Neldon’s bowling alley when Neldon discovered the embezzlement. Roberson was ordered to repay Neldon in 2010 and served nearly two years in prison for her crime. When Roberson did not pay the case essentially went cold until District Attorney staff renewed efforts this year.

Mr. Neldon said he was thrilled to receive this much needed help “It’s a blessing. My daughter is in college and I am about to start dialysis.”

District Attorney investigators tackled two more cases that resulted in local business owners getting their money or property back.

$214,000 returned to Tulsa Stock Yard in Rogers County after an individual wrote a bad check for 246 head of cattle.

Also a vehicle worth more than $15,000 was returned to Melton Dodge in Claremore after a woman wrote a bad check to the dealership and drove off in its car.
