Joy In The Cause loaded their trailer with backpacks and Mavis Pearl plush animals to present to District Attorney Matt Ballard and area first responders including the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office, Claremore Police and Fire, Chelsea Police and Fire, Foyil Fire, Oologah Police and Fire and Talala Police.

Volunteers even created a personalized Mavis Pearl for DA Ballard complete with a business suit, tie and briefcase.

It’s all thanks to a generous donation from the Hinson family of Claremore which paid for all of the items.

The backpacks allow first responders to give comfort and hope to children in crisis.  They’re packed full with t-shirts, plush animals, flashlights, books, puzzles, toiletries and more.

Joy In The Cause also stocked the DA’s Victim Center with Mavis Pearl plush animals for children who have to come meet with prosecutors or go to court.
