Rogers County  CF-2012-536

Judge agrees with jury recommendation and sentences man to life in prison for first degree murder with intent.

On October 10, 2014 the jury found 37 year old Vance Wright guilty of first degree murder for killing Kelsey Bray who was 27 years old at the time of her death.   The jury recommended a sentence of life in prison with the possibility of parole.  Meaning Wright would be eligible for parole in 2051.

The evidence shows Kelsey was last seen alive with Wright in the early morning hours of October 9, 2011.  Her body was found 18 days later, 36 feet below the turnpike bridge where a Highway Patrol Trooper saw her with Wright when the trooper stopped to see why the two were there.  Wright had run out of gas.

The jury heard Wright became angry over some drugs, attacked Kelsey and pushed her off the bridge.
