Scott Montgomery Bennett

Scott Montgomery Bennett of Los Angeles, California is guilty of rape by instrumentation and sexual battery against a young woman.  The morning of June 14, 2016 a Rogers County Judge formally sentenced Bennett to five years in prison, lifetime registration as a sex offender, fees and $1,000 in restitution to the victim.

In April a jury convicted Bennett of the sex crimes after watching surveillance video of Bennett prevent the victim, who was clearly unsteady on her feet, from exiting an elevator on the lobby level then taking her back to the floor where his room was located.  When she falls to the ground he partially undresses her in the hallway before fondling her with his hand and mouth.  He then takes her into his room for 35 minutes.  At that point the video shows him dumping her on a different floor then returning a short time later leaving some of her belongings next to her in that hallway.  The attack happened December 5, 2014.

The victim addressed her abuser in court today prior to sentencing.   Click here to read her victim impact statement
