Rogers County CF-2013-245

A Judge sentenced Harley McFarland to 20 years in prison for First Degree Rape and 20 years for Forcible Sodomy with the sentences to run concurrently.

The victim was just 13 years old at the time and McFarland was 21 years old.

Investigators found the two communicated online and through text messages.

The victim’s father discovered the crimes when reviewing his daughter’s text messages. He immediately contacted the Rogers County Sheriff’s Department and turned his daughter’s phone over to investigators.

In July the defendant entered guilty pleas on both counts.
