Pryor Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison in Murder-for-Hire Plot

22 Oct Pryor Man Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison in Murder-for-Hire Plot

Mayes County CF-2010-441

In October 22, 2012 Bart Lott plead guilty to solicitation of first degree murder for trying to hire a hit man for $8,000 to kill his wife.  He was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

Evidence showed Lott wanted her dead in order to avoid a rape charge after she made a police report saying Lott raped her.   The two were going through a divorce and custody battle over their two daughters.

The State’s evidence showed when Lott met with the person he thought was a hit man it was actually an undercover ATF agent.
