Rogers County District Attorney Awarded Pro Patria Award for Supporting Those Who Serve

01 May Rogers County District Attorney Awarded Pro Patria Award for Supporting Those Who Serve

District Attorney Matt Ballard received the Oklahoma Committee of Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s (ESRG) Pro Patria Award in recognition of his extraordinary patriotic support of employees who serve our nation’s military.

ESGR Chair Raymond Knapp presented the award to Ballard with many thanks from the committee and those serving in the armed forces.

Ballard says, “I’m so appreciative of this award. I’m humbled because the people who deserve every bit of recognition are the brave women and men who put on the uniform and protect all of our freedoms.”

By valuing the military service of their Guard and Reserve employees, employers are directly supporting the readiness and retention of our All-Volunteer Force, and our national defense.

ESGR’s Pro Patria Award is presented annually by each ESGR State Committee to one small, one large, and one public sector employer in their state or territory. Recipients have demonstrated the greatest support to Guard and Reserve employees through their leadership and practices, including adopting personnel policies that make it easier for employees to participate in the National Guard and Reserve. This is the highest level award that may be bestowed by an ESGR State Committee.
