July 24, 2014 Garrett Bump was given the maximum sentence allowed for dogfighting:  Ten years in the Department of Corrections.

In all Bump plead guilty to six counts;  three of which are felonies:

Instigating or encouraging dogfight  (felony)
Own/possess/keep or train dog for fighting  (felony)
Cruelty to Animals  (felony)
Possession of controlled dangerous substance  (misdemeanor)

Unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia  (misdemeanor)
Leaving carcass within ¼ mile of highway (misdemeanor)
