A Rogers County Judge sentences William Leathers to life in prison for shooting his wife in the face, killing her, on February 27, 2015.   The murder brought a life sentence plus 20 years for the felony count of driving under the influence.
Susan Leathers was 32 years old.

Investigators report a young child was also in the house during the murder and had to be taken into DHS custody then was later placed with family members of Susan’s.

In January this year Williams waived his right to a jury trial and entered a cold plea.

Williams was already a four-time felon with additional charges pending at the time he murdered his wife with a handgun he had illegally.

His previous felony convictions include cruelty to animals, encouraging dog fighting and DUI.
