William Henry McAfee

CF-2016-171

A Craig County Judge ordered William Henry McAfee (DOB: 12/15/1959) serve 25 years in prison followed by 10 years of probation for repeatedly sexually abusing a young girl from the time she was five until she was ten years old. Child sexual abuse is what’s known as an 85% crime meaning McAfee will have to serve 21.25 years in prison before he can even begin to seek early release.

McAfee denied his crimes and blamed his victim throughout the judicial process and an Oklahoma Department of Corrections investigator noted that in the pre-sentence investigation as part of the reason McAfee belongs in prison.

The victim disclosed the sexual abuse to her therapist years after it happened.

A member of the Children’s Advocacy Center staff reports the vast majority of child sexual abuse victims do not disclose until they are adults, if at all.

Prosecutor Kali Strain says during McAfee’s non jury trial “Another witness testified she saw McAfee abuse another girl years before. We know he’s had multiple victims.”
