April 21, 2014 Luis Alfredo Cruz was sentenced to 22 years in prison after pleading guilty to two counts of first-degree rape (child under 14) and one count of obstructing an officer..

Investigators found Cruz first raped his girlfriend’s daughter when she was 11 years old and Cruz was living in the family home.  A subsequent rape resulted in the girl becoming pregnant when she was 12 years old.   DNA results show Cruz is the father.

The judge handed down a 22 year prison sentence with the last five years suspended.
