Mother Sentenced to Prison for Abuse and Neglect of Her Children

07 Aug Mother Sentenced to Prison for Abuse and Neglect of Her Children

Rogers County CF-2014-214

August 7, 2014 Suzanne Satterfield of Chelsea is sentenced to 25 years in prison by a Rogers County Judge.

Satterfield entered a blind plea* leaving the Judge to decide her punishment for child abuse and child neglect involving two of her children.

Her little boy was locked in a metal dog cage for up to 14 hours a day and the Judge found she did not protect one of her daughters from being sexually abused.

On both counts Satterfield was sentenced to 25 years with three years suspended to run concurrently.

* A blind plea is when a defendant admits guilt to the judge and the judge decides on sentencing.
