Compensation Available to Crime Victims

27 Feb Compensation Available to Crime Victims

Victims of crime may receive compensation for non-property related expenses stemming from the crime. This may include medical or counseling bills, funeral expenses, some mileage reimbursement or crime scene clean up.

In the case of crimes where there is financial loss due to property damaged or destroyed it is possible to request restitution be ordered in the case.
A victim advocate can help with that process.
