Rogers County CF-2019-402

During a bond hearing on July 10, 2019 evidence was presented to Judge Lara Russell showing why it would be too dangerous to the community to give Bradley Wofford the opportunity to post bond.

The judge considered Wofford’s eight previous DUI arrests in six, different, states and the murder charge against him in Rogers County tied to the June 10 crash which killed 48 year old Scotty Dilbeck.

Scotty and Rose Dilbeck

Dilbeck’s widow, Rose, and two of his three daughters were in court to hear the testimony and the judge’s decision. Dilbeck was also a grandfather to eight children.

Chief Assistant District Attorney Isaac Shields “Based on his lengthy and troubling criminal record paired with his history of driving under the influence, we felt that there was no condition of bond that would be appropriate. Being arrested, being charged, being prosecuted was not enough to deter him from continuing to use controlled dangerous substances and drive.”

Prosecutors say Wofford was driving on Highway 412 near Inola while high on meth and slammed into the back of Dilbeck’s car. An OHP Trooper testified Wofford was clearly under the influence and they found meth, a meth pipe and guns in his truck. The same trooper testified once transported to jail it was discovered Wofford had a vial of a substance that tested positive as meth in his show.

Wofford faces a total of six charges in Rogers County:
Murder, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended licence, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, bringing contraband into jail and inattentive driving.

Wofford will remain in jail until his next court date in September.
